Level 1 – Bon voyage (Breakthrough)
Understand and use a basic range of everyday expressions relating to personal details and needs, understand and use a few grammatical structures, become familiar with the sound and writing systems of the language.
Level 2 – En route (Preliminary)
Use and adapt language relating to a range of everyday matters, maintain a simple conversation, write a simple text, recognise and use simple forms of present, past and future tenses.
Level 3 (Intermediate) & Level 4 (Advanced)
These courses will teach the language through a theme - Please see Courses with a Difference.

These courses will teach the language through a theme, and in some cases will still lead to an Asset Languages Qualification

Learn about contemporaneous French society through a variety of documents.

A-Z Vivre en France (French Bureaucratie)
11weeks/term, Autumn/Spg/Summer,
Understand French administration, Health and Healthcare, Education, Working in France, Transportation, Housing, Justice and “Etiquette”. From Level 2 onwards.

Read and enjoy literature! So, if you love books, and you're ready to discuss them... you're in the right place. Advanced level only.
Français commercial (Business)
Understand communication in today’s French business world (Commercial correspondence and negotiation, Telephone French for Business). This course is available from Level 2 onwards.
